Community Safety & Well-Being Plan

In 2019, municipalities were mandated by the province to prepare and adopt community safety and well-being plans. To do so, municipalities were required to work in partnership with police services and other various sectors, including health/mental health, education, community/social services, and children/youth services. We had the flexibility to develop a joint plan with our neighbouring municipality. Since most of the services sought by our residents are available to them in Hearst, Municipal Council adopted the "Hearst and Mattice – Val Côté Community Safety and Well-Being Plan" in October 2021.
